Nice article in the Winchester Star on Winchester resident, Greg Chastain, and the group he founded, Voice of Hope, making a donation to the Massachusetts General Cancer Center.
On Jan. 13, members of Voices of Hope presented a check for $100,000 to Dr. Dejan Juric, director of Translational Research in the Henri and Belinda Termeer Center for Targeted Therapies at the Mass General Cancer Center, and Erika Rosato, nurse director in the Termeer Center. This donation represents thousands of volunteer hours spent throughout 2017 by a group of individuals connected by the impact of cancer on their lives, and their common commitment to help find a cure.
Since 2009, Voices of Hope, founded by Greg Chastain, of Winchester, has donated more than $600,000 to cancer research. Of that total, the organization has specifically donated $465,500 to the Termeer Center to support new treatments, as well as bench-to-bedside research efforts. Established as a way to honor loved ones impacted by cancer, Voices of Hope has achieved a great level of success in raising funds through theatrical and musical performances, large and small, in venues such as Symphony Hall, North Shore Music Theatre, TD Garden, Gillette Stadium, the Hatch Shell and Fenway Park.
